Iron Wood had always been a mystical place. Even in a universe where gods and fantastical beasts walked freely, it even astonished them. The secret of its strange beauty lay in its trees. They were tall and proud like many other trees; but they were old, ancient even. They grew with the beginning of Jotunheim and still stood tall today even after the Great Flood. Even though their age was indeed impressive it wasn't that which astounded the people. They grew with a metallic sheen. They were cold to the touch. They could not be felled. They were living, growing metal. When the wind breezed through the trees of Iron Wood twinkled as the leaves chimed together.
